Every cell tells a story.

With an eye toward personalized medicine, ApoCell scientists understand not only the importance of discovering and analyzing biomarkers, but the need to customize assays for its clients to provide the data they need. ApoCell has integrated multi-parameter flow cytometry into their technology platform to detect rare circulating cells populations in peripheral blood. The ability to quantify the frequency of circulating endothelial cells, tumor cells, and their apoptotic status has been shown in several recent studies to be predictive of patients’ clinical outcome and response to therapy. In addition, scientists at ApoCell will work with our clients to define and validate the flow cytometry assays that are most relevant to their particular therapeutic target. ApoCell’s flow cytometry platform and technical expertise is well poised for collaboration with clinical research centers and pharmaceutical organizations to develop and provide the most sensitive flow cytometry assays available to support translational biomarker clinical studies.

Flow cytometry

ApoCell’s flow cytometry platform can be used to:

  • Detect and enumerate rare circulating endothelial or progenitor cells based on phenotype, apoptosis or phosphorylation status.
  • Evaluate investigational agents in pre-clinical and clinical studies on a multi-site and worldwide basis.
  • Perform biomarker discovery by identifying patient populations most likely to respond to therapy and monitoring pharmacodynamic changes on target cells in response to treatment.
  • Phenotype additional blood cell populations including T cell and monocyte sub-populations.
  • Utilize cytometric bead array assays to multiplex cytokine measurements in plasma or serum with sensitivity as good as, or better than standard ELISAs.
  • ApoCell also has custom flow cytometry collection kits and logistical services that ensure optimal performance and results from studies utilizing multiple sites.

ApoCell has a number of custom panels validated and available and will work with you to customize assays to meet your research needs. Please contact us for additional assay information.
